Never one to sit back and rest on his laurels, contemporary bluesman Keb’ Mo’ launches his first self-produced indie album.

Live and Mo’ features a mix of six concert performances and four new studio recordings which provide an excellent overview of tunes that highlight a songwriter whose roots are in the blues but who subtly colors his songs with pop, gospel and funk influences. Current live favorites like “More Than One Way Home,” “Change,” and “Shave Yo’ Legs” are here along with stellar new tracks like the bittersweet “Victim of Comfort,” the humorous “Government Cheese,” and “A Brand New America” which provides an optimistic view of a 2010 US of A.

Keb’ played at the Main Point as part of the Papa John Creech band twice in the 1975.
