The Main Point was a godsend for performers and audiences. Besides the ones early in their careers (Ry Cooder, the Persuasions, Good News), some veterans found their way there (Josh White, Brownie McGhee and Sonny Terry, John Fahey). I can only regret the shows I didn’t manage to see (way too many).
