Tributes

Sadly, some of the people responsible for The Main Pont, as well as some of the folks who performed there, have left us; far, far to soon!

We’d like to pay tribute to those people here by remembering their names, noting their contributions, and providing links to their music for you to enjoy – Because it always begins with the music… And the music never ends…

    Thanks so much for doing this! I was a villanova guy from 1966 – 1971 and saw so many great acts at the Main Point. So happy that others had the same experience. In hindsight I wish I had seen more of the greats, but the biggest gift from the Point was learning the sheer power of an acoustic song!!!I remember the flyers you feature on the page – such a great idea. And thanks for the chronology – it clarified things for me.

        Thanks, Sean. If I can be of any help. let me know. I spent alot of time there and actually started playing there myself when the management let beginners perform on a Sunday afternoon. It would have been around ’71, I think. I saw so many great acts at the Main Point.
